explanatory
Cruisers
- Basically this would be a 20 minute practice
session for riders who have no interest in
competition. They really just want to come out and
enjoy the experience and comradery of the SSVMX
club. No double jumps allowed! This would be so laid
back that we may not even need flaggers out there.
Iron man Classes
- Extra laps in these classes (20 minute motos).
This class does not split up ability levels. To ride
this class, riders must also be entered in one or
more other SSVMX classes.
Gamblers Class - (NO beginners) There
will be three classes on the same gate (I, II & III)
I: 1980-older bikes II: 1981-1988 bikes III:
1989-current bikes - There needs to be a minimum of
5 riders in each class, 5 laps long and it will be
the last moto of the day (1 moto only). - This class
requires that you are entered in at least one other
SSVMX class. - The cost of this class will be $15
($5 goes to SSVMX and $10 goes to the pot). - There
is a 50% pay back. Example: Top 5 paid if 10 entered
or top 10 paid if 20 entered. - Half the purse goes
to 1st place and balance distributed to remaining
riders. Example: 10 riders enter, $100 goes into the
pot. 1st-$50, 2nd-$20, 3rd-$15, 4th-$10, 5th-$5 -
This would be a non-points race. - This class will
run at each race weekend except the when the 3
Motocross des Florida is run.
Motocross des Florida
- This is a team event. It will consist of one moto
which will take place only 3 times during the SSVMX
Season (tracks tba). Teams must be a minimum of 3
riders (any skill level) but only the top 3 riders
points will be used for scoring. Any bike of choice
(size & year). All bikes on the same gate drop. You
guessed it, bragging rights on the line here.
Laps- All classes 5
laps except Tripes, Beginners, women (4 laps) and
Iron man (20 minutes) Rider skill level (class)*.
For the 2014-2015 SSVMX
series, all riders will either start as :
Beginner rider:
This is for a new rider or a rider who really wants
to take it easy and cruise. If you’re jumping
doubles then this class isn’t for you.
Intermediate:
If you’re over qualified for the Beginner class and
you jump most the doubles and have the competitive
desire then this class is for you.
Expert:
Expert level in AHRAMA, AMA, or local Series. If you
sign up in this class and get thumped, you have the
option of moving down, or if it becomes a safety
issue, the committee will ask you to go down a
class. We don't want someone getting landed on or
lapped twice.
If the committee feels that this
rider is well beyond the level/speed of the others
in that class then the committee shall require that
they move up to the next class.
This is a NEW series and a fresh
start for everyone! Do not sign up in a class based
on where you were placed in by a former group.
.
Regular practice sessions will take place between 9am and 2pm, and
are considered part of the total event weekend unless otherwise noted.
All practice sessions are $25 per day, unless specifically
noted.
